A modern open plan lounge, kitchen, and breakfast area. Full sized fridge freezer alongside modern cooking facilities. Sit down and eat with the whole family at our solid oak breakfast bar which seats 5 people.
We have everything you need to sit and relax, from family board games through to a library of DVDs. Other amenities include a 42inch Smart TV with DVD player, a Humax FreeSAT recorder box and free unlimited WIFI throughout.
King size divan, luxury mattress with a choice of pillows and solid oak furniture. A fold out memory foam bed is also available free of charge on request.
Two single beds (3ft x 6ft and 2ft 6 x 6ft 3) with drawers under one and a spacious single oak wardrobe.
Spacious bathroom with bath and separate shower cubicle housing a MIRAS double rainfall shower.

We are a family of four and our adorable cockapoo Poppy. We fell in love with Filey after our first wintry visit in 2003. How had we never known about such a beautiful part of the Yorkshire coast?
We visited regularly, both in the winter and summer months over the following years. There is so much to see and do around the Filey area.
We were fortunate to be able to purchase Filey Beach Retreat in late 2016 and spent the next year completely renovating the apartment. We wanted it to be a true “home from home” experience for us and our guests …. We think that we have achieved this and our guests leave the most wonderful reviews .

Our first floor apartment was completely renovated and refurbished in 2017 to a very high standard. Our aim is to provide a luxurious home from home holiday experience.
Matlock House sits directly opposite the beautiful five mile stretch of Filey Bay beach. Step out onto the beach voted best in the North by the Sunday Times.
Filey Beach Retreat is both child friendly with high chairs, travel cot, cutlery etc, and dog friendly (please enquire before booking).

Communication from the host was very clear and concise. Information book in flat for use of cooker, TV ect.... External seating area is a nice touch and you're 50 yards from the beach. Lovely flat and well layed out, to turn up and find biscuits and milk was a lovely touch. Thank You

We had a wonderful stay in Filey. The apartment was spacious and comfortable, giving us plenty of room to relax. The location couldn't be better - just steps from the amazing beach, with easy access up to the shops via the nearby steps. Having a washing machine on hand was really convenient too. A great base for a seaside break!
